U.S. Virgin Islands § 1306 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

(a) The license fees applicable to the licenses required under the provisions of this subchapter shall be established by regulations promulgated from time to time in accordance with law by the Police Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor. Such license fees shall not exceed the reasonable administrative costs incurred by the U.S. Virgin Islands Police Department (V.I.P.D.) in implementing the licensing provisions of this subchapter.\n(b) License fees shall be paid to the Commissioner at the time the application is made. If the Commissioner declines to issue a license the fee shall be returned to the applicant. Once a license is issued, if it is subsequently revoked, the license fee shall not be returned to the licensee. The holder of all types of licenses may furnish only the services described under the definition for that type of license contained in section 1301 of this chapter.
