Members and officers of the National Guard of the Virgin Islands while on active military duty shall, when so directed by the Adjutant General with the approval of the Governor, be peace officers within the meaning of 5 Virgin Islands Code § 3561 and shall exercise and possess all of the powers of peace officers under the laws of the Virgin Islands.
