(a) Pedestrians within the city limits of any town, as defined in this code, shall cross roadways only at marked crosswalks, at intersections and at other sign-posted designated crossings and it shall be unlawful to cross a roadway at any other place or in any other manner.\n(b) Pedestrians outside the city limits shall cross roadways only at pedestrian overpasses, marked crosswalks, at intersections, and at other designated crossings, and only when safe to do so.
