The following restrictions shall apply in any fire zone—\n(1) no wood frame buildings of any description shall be erected; and\n(2) all future buildings shall be of either masonry, slow-burning, or fire-resistant construction in accordance with the standards of design and construction set forth in the regulations of the Commissioner of Public Safety under section 603 of this title and the regulations of the Commissioner of Public Works under section 293 of Title 29.
