As used in this subchapter—\n'Physician assistant' means a person who has graduated from a physician assistant or surgeon assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or by the predecessor or successor agency, and/or a person who has passed the certifying examination administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.\n'Board' means the Virgin Islands Board of Medical Examiners.\n'Supervising physician' means an M.D. or D.O. licensed by the Board, who supervises physician assistants.\n'Supervision' means overseeing the activities of, and accepting responsibility for, the medical services rendered by a physician assistant as provided in section 50k.
