U.S. Virgin Islands § 166h — U.S. Virgin Islands law

(a) Any provision in a policy attempting to limit or modify the liability of the insurer contrary to the provisions of this subchapter is void.\n(b) The policy procured pursuant to section 166e of this subchapter is deemed to include the following provisions, and any change which may be occasioned by legislation adopted by the Legislature as fully as if it were written therein:\n(1) The insurer assumes all obligations to pay an award imposed against its insured under the provisions of this subchapter; and\n(2) Any termination of the policy by cancellation is not effective as to patients claiming against the insured covered by the policy, unless at least thirty (30) days before the taking effect of the cancellation, a written notice giving the date upon which termination becomes effective has been received by the insured and the Commissioner of Insurance at their offices.
