No person may be licensed under this chapter unless such person submits satisfactory proof to the Board that such person—\n(1) is at least eighteen (18) years of age;\n(2) is of good moral character;\n(3) has been a resident of the Virgin Islands for at least six consecutive months immediately prior to application;\n(4) has graduated from a school of barbering approved by the Board; or has served as an apprentice for a period of at least two years; or has practiced as a barber for at least three years;\n(5) has graduated from a school of beauty culture approved by the Board; or has served as an apprentice for a period of at least two years;\n(6) has satisfactorily passed an examination conducted by the Board to determine fitness to practice barbering, beauty culture, or manicuring, as the case may be.\nIn addition, each such person shall submit to the Board, along with an application on a form prescribed by the Board, two recent photographs of the applicant of a size prescribed by the Board, a recent certificate of a duly licensed physician, on a form prescribed by the Board, showing freedom from any infections or communicable disease, and the fee prescribed by this scribed by the Board, a recent certificate of a duly licensed physician, on a form prescribed by the Board, showing freedom from any infections or communicable disease, and the fee prescribed by this chapter.\nPersons licensed under this chapter and who renew their licenses every year shall submit a health certificate every two years and recent photographs when requested by the Board with their applications.
