U.S. Virgin Islands § 586 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

(a) The person rendering the service or doing the work or labor named in sections 581 and 582 of this title is only entitled to the liens as provided herein for services, work, or labor for the period of six months, or any part thereof next preceding the filing of the claims as provided in section 587 of this title.\n(b) No lien provided for in this chapter shall bind any property for a longer period than six months after the claim provided for in section 587 of this title has been filed, unless an action is commenced within that time to enforce the same.
