The acknowledgment of any instrument may be made in the Virgin Islands before—\n(1) a notary public authorized to perform notarial acts in the Virgin Islands; or\n(2) a judge, clerk, or deputy clerk of any court of record in the Virgin Islands having a seal; or\n(3) a commissioner or recorder of deeds.
