U.S. Virgin Islands § 85 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

The form of a certificate of acknowledgment used by a person whose authority is recognized under section 82 of this chapter shall be accepted in the Virgin Islands if one of the following is true:\n(a) The certificate is in a form prescribed by the laws or regulations of the Virgin Islands;\n(b) The certificate is in a form prescribed by the laws applicable in the place in which the acknowledgment is taken; or\n(c) The certificate contains the words 'acknowledged before me', or their substantial equivalent.
