U.S. Virgin Islands § 204 — U.S. Virgin Islands law

For the purpose of providing sites for emergency housing under sections 201–205 of this title, the Governor is authorized to use any available lands or buildings owned by the Government of the United States Virgin Islands, not otherwise devoted to a public use, or to acquire by lease, purchase, exchange, donation, devise, or by the exercise of eminent domain, other lands or buildings for such purposes. The acquisition of land or buildings under the provision [sic] of this chapter is hereby declared to be for a public use.
