Any contractor or subcontractor who shall upon his oath verify any statement to be filed under the provisions of this subchapter which is known to him to be false, or if made without knowledge in reckless disregard to the truth, shall be guilty of a felony, and punished as for perjury, as set forth in section 1541 of Title 14.
