The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation which is hereby designated as the state agency for such purpose, is authorized to participate in the programs authorized by the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 (P.L. 88–578, 78 Stat. 897), to cause to be prepared such comprehensive state plan as may be required thereunder, to receive and expend federal funds, and to comply with all other federal requirements for participation in such programs.
