The information collected for the registry is confidential and may not be disclosed other than to assist the person on the registry in time of a manmade or natural disaster or if there is a medical or some other emergency. Disclosure of the information under any other circumstance subjects the person who discloses the information to a fine of not more than $500 or to imprisonment for less than one year, or both.
