(a) This subtitle applies to the suits of a civil nature whether cognizable as cases at law or in equity described in Rule 1 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and which are brought in one form of action known as 'civil action' pursuant to Rule 2 thereof.\n(b) This subtitle applies to proceedings in the Supreme Court. It also applies to proceedings in the Superior Court unless otherwise provided in this subtitle or in rules adopted by the Supreme Court applicable to the Superior Court.
