The purpose of this chapter, which shall be known as the 'St. Croix Airport Zoning Act', is the promoting of the health, safety and general welfare of the inhabitants of St. Croix, by preventing the creation or establishment of airport hazards, thereby protecting the lives and property of users of the Alexander Hamilton Airport and of occupants of land in its vicinity and preventing destruction or impairment of the utility of the Airport and the public investment therein.
