As used in this chapter—\n(a) The term 'rum' means any alcoholic distillate from the fermented juice of sugarcane, sugarcane syrup, sugarcane molasses, or other sugarcane by-products distilled in such manner that the distillate possesses the taste, aroma, and characteristics generally attributed to rum; and includes mixtures solely of such distillates.\n(b) The term 'fermented juice' means the fermented juice of sugarcane, sugarcane syrup, sugarcane molasses, or other sugarcane by-products.\n(c) The term 'production' includes manufacture, distillation, rectification, blending, and bottling.\n(d) The term 'person' includes a partnership or corporation.
