If the court enters an order as provided in § 15.2-5216 that the need for the commission no longer exists, such order shall be final and, except for completing its affairs in accordance with the plan approved by the court, its authorities, powers and duties to transact business or to function shall cease to exist as of the date set forth in the court order.\nCode 1950, § 32-290.2; 1970, c. 150, § 15.1-1531; 1979, c. 719; 1997, c. 587.
