The governing body of any city in which the authority is located may make appropriations for the improvement, maintenance or operation of any public hospital or hospital project constructed, maintained, or operated by or to be constructed, maintained or operated by an authority.\nCode 1950, § 32-233; 1979, c. 719, § 15.1-1552; 1997, c. 587.
