The board shall establish a schedule of compensation for officers and employees which shall provide uniform compensation for like service. The compensation prescribed shall be subject to such limitations as made by general law.\nCode 1950, § 15-331; 1962, c. 623, § 15.1-654; 1997, c. 587.
