§ 17-1-216

The fee for serving such process, order or decree may be delivered to the clerk, who shall transmit it with the papers to be served to the sheriff and the fee paid shall be taxed by the clerk as a part of the costs of the proceeding.\nCode 1919, § 3403, § 17-52; 1946, p. 55; 1998, c. 872.
