When appearing in this chapter:\n(1) The term 'Governor' includes any person performing the functions of Governor by authority of the law of this Commonwealth;\n(2) The term 'executive authority' includes the Governor, and any person performing the functions of Governor in a state other than this Commonwealth;\n(3) The term 'State,' referring to a state other than this Commonwealth, includes any other state or territory, organized or unorganized, of the United States of America, and the District of Columbia; and\n(4) The term 'judge' means a judge of a court of record having criminal jurisdiction.\nCode 1950, § 19.1-49; 1960, c. 366; 1975, c. 495.
