It is the sense of the General Assembly that members of the armed forces of the United States who are or were prisoners of war or reported missing in action should be honored and remembered for their service and sacrifice. In observance of that service and sacrifice, all agencies and institutions of the Commonwealth shall display the POW/MIA flag on public buildings on the following days each year:\nArmed Forces Day -- the third Saturday in May.\nMemorial Day -- the last Monday in May.\nFlag Day -- June 14.\nIndependence Day -- July 4.\nNational POW/MIA Recognition Day -- the third Friday in September.\nVeterans Day -- November 11.\n2001, c. 835, § 2.1-27.3:1.
