§ 2-2-815

A. Every claim authorized to be presented to the Comptroller or to the head of a department, division, institution or agency shall be examined by the person to whom it is presented and forwarded with appropriate supporting papers and recommendations without unreasonable delay to the Comptroller, who shall promptly allow the amount that appears to be due.\nB. No allowance made by order of any court of record shall be paid out of the state treasury, unless presented to the Comptroller for payment within two years from the date of the allowance.\nCode 1950, §§ 2-196, 2-197; 1966, c. 677, §§ 2.1-223.3, 2.1-223.4; 2001, c. 844.
