The term 'food' as used in this article means all articles used for food, drink, confectionery or condiment, whether simple, mixed or compound, and all substances or ingredients used in the preparation thereof, intended for human consumption and introduction into commerce.\nCode 1950, § 3-285; 1966, c. 702, § 3.1-365; 2008, c. 860.
