Any insurer that accepts applications from an unlicensed agent or does not appoint a licensed agent pursuant to the provisions of § 38.2-1833 shall be penalized as provided in §§ 38.2-218 and 38.2-1040.\n1985, c. 616, § 38.1-327.44:3; 1986, c. 562; 1987, c. 521.
