The Director may establish a system of pay incentives for prisoners confined in any state correctional facility. Such system may provide for the payment of a bonus to any prisoner who is assigned to employment in any position of responsibility or who performs his job in an exemplary manner.\nCode 1950, § 53-222; 1968, c. 590; 1982, c. 636; 2020, c. 759.
