§ 63-2-1100

For the purposes of Chapter 10 (§ 63.2-1000 et seq.) of this title, the following words shall have the meaning ascribed to them by this section:\nA. 'Appropriate public authorities' as used in Article III of the compact means, with reference to this Commonwealth, the Department.\nB. 'Appropriate authority in the receiving state' as used in subdivision (a) of Article V of the compact means, with reference to this Commonwealth, the Commissioner.\n1975, c. 406, § 63.1-219.1; 2002, c. 747.
