RCW 47.39.090Consultation with other agencies and parties—Identification of tourist routes.In developing the scenic and recreational highways program, the department shall consult with the department of commerce, the department of natural resources, the parks and recreation commission, affected cities, towns, and counties, regional transportation planning organizations, statewide bicycling organizations, and other interested parties. The scenic and recreational highways program may identify entire highway loops or similar tourist routes that could be developed to promote tourist activity and provide concurrent economic growth while protecting the scenic and recreational quality surrounding state highways.[ 2023 c 470 s 2088; 1995 c 399 s 123; 1993 c 430 s 9.]NOTES:Explanatory statement—2023 c 470: See note following RCW 10.99.030.
