RCW 50.04.370Services performed by a driver facilitated by a transportation network company.(1) Notwithstanding RCW 50.04.140, services performed by a driver that are facilitated through a digital network are subject to this title. Except as otherwise provided in rules adopted by the department, the laws and rules that apply under this title to a relationship meeting the requirements of RCW 50.04.100 also apply to the relationship between a driver and a transportation network company.(2) This section must not be interpreted as:(a) Amending the definitions and exceptions in RCW 50.04.100 or 50.04.140; or(b) Limiting the scope of coverage under this title as to any other employment relationship.(3) For purposes of this section, the definitions in this subsection apply unless the context clearly requires otherwise.(a) 'Digital network' has the meaning provided in RCW 49.46.300.(b) 'Driver' has the meaning provided in RCW 49.46.300.(c) 'Transportation network company' has the meaning provided in RCW 49.46.300.[ 2023 c 451 s 1.]
