§ 69-50-207

RCW 69.50.207Schedule III tests.(a) [(1)] The commission shall place a substance in Schedule III upon finding that:(1) [(a)] the substance has a potential for abuse less than the substances included in Schedules I and II;(2) [(b)] the substance has currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States; and(3) [(c)] abuse of the substance may lead to moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence.(b) [(2)] The commission may place a substance in Schedule III without making the findings required by subsection (a) [(1)] of this section if the substance is controlled under Schedule III of the federal Controlled Substances Act by a federal agency as the result of an international treaty, convention, or protocol.[ 2013 c 19 s 90; 1993 c 187 s 7; 1971 ex.s. c 308 s 69.50.207.]
