RCW 70.127.216Unlicensed operation of an in-home services agency—Consumer protection act.The legislature finds that the operation of an in-home services agency without a license in violation of this chapter is a matter vitally affecting the public interest for the purpose of applying the consumer protection act, chapter 19.86 RCW. Operation of an in-home services agency without a license in violation of this chapter is not reasonable in relation to the development and preservation of business. Such a violation is an unfair or deceptive act in trade or commerce and an unfair method of competition for the purpose of applying the consumer protection act, chapter 19.86 RCW.[ 2000 c 175 s 20.]NOTES:Effective date—2000 c 175: See note following RCW 70.127.010.
