RCW 70.24.220Sexually transmitted disease education in public schools—Finding.The legislature finds that the public schools provide a unique and appropriate setting for educating young people about the pathology and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. The legislature recognizes that schools and communities vary throughout the state and that locally elected school directors should have a significant role in establishing a program of sexually transmitted disease education in their districts, consistent with RCW 28A.230.020 and 28A.300.475.[ 2020 c 76 s 10; 1988 c 206 s 401.]
