RCW 70.24.360Jail detainees—Testing of persons who present a possible risk.Jail administrators, with the approval of the local health officer, may order blood-borne pathogen testing for a person detained in the jail if the local health officer determines that the detainee's behavior exposed the staff, general public, or other persons, and that exposure presents a possible risk of transmitting a blood-borne pathogen. Documentation of the behavior shall be reviewed with the person to ensure that the person understands the basis for testing.[ 2020 c 76 s 14; 1988 c 206 s 706.]
