RCW 70.48.230Transportation and temporary confinement of prisoners.The jurisdiction having immediate authority over a prisoner is responsible for the transportation expenses. The transporting officer shall have custody of the prisoner within any Washington county while being transported. Any jail within the state may be used for the temporary confinement of the prisoner with the only charge being for the reasonable cost of board.[ 1979 ex.s. c 232 s 18.]
