RCW 71.24.855Finding—Intent—State hospitals.The legislature finds that the growing demand for state hospital beds has strained the state's capacity to meet the demand while providing for a sufficient workforce to operate the state hospitals safely. It is the intent of the legislature that the executive and legislative branches work collaboratively to maximize access to, safety of, and the therapeutic role of the state hospitals to best serve patients while ensuring the safety of patients and employees.[ 2016 sp.s. c 37 s 1.]
