RCW 72.70.020Secretary authorized to receive or transfer inmates pursuant to contract.The secretary of corrections is authorized to receive or transfer an inmate as defined in Article II(d) of the Western Interstate Corrections Compact to any institution as defined in Article II(e) of the Western Interstate Corrections Compact within this state or without this state, if this state has entered into a contract or contracts for the confinement of inmates in such institutions pursuant to Article III of the Western Interstate Corrections Compact.[ 1981 c 136 s 118; 1979 c 141 s 290; 1959 c 287 s 2.]NOTES:Effective date—1981 c 136: See RCW 72.09.900.
