RCW 74.13.289Blood-borne pathogens—Client information—Training.(1) Upon any placement, the department shall inform each out-of-home care provider if the child to be placed in that provider's care is infected with a blood-borne pathogen, and shall identify the specific blood-borne pathogen for which the child was tested if known by the department.(2) All out-of-home care providers licensed by the department shall receive training related to blood-borne pathogens, including prevention, transmission, infection control, treatment, testing, and confidentiality.(3) Any disclosure of information related to HIV must be in accordance with RCW 70.02.220.(4) The department of health shall identify by rule the term 'blood-borne pathogen' as used in this section.[ 2018 c 284 s 48; 2013 c 200 s 29; 2009 c 520 s 76; 2004 c 40 s 3.]NOTES:Effective date—2013 c 200: See note following RCW 70.02.010.
