RCW 81.80.371Federal authority and registration for compensatory services.It is unlawful for any motor carrier to perform a transportation service for compensation upon the public highways of this state without first having secured appropriate federal authority from the United States department of transportation, if the authority is required, and without first having registered with the commission either directly or through a federally authorized uniform registration program.[ 2007 c 234 s 89; 1963 c 59 s 9.]
