Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, for public charter schools intending to open in the school year beginning July 1, 2022, only, the last day for the schools governing board and its authorizer to enter into a charter contract is May 15, 2022. If the charter contract is not executed by May 15, 2022, the approved public charter school may not open until the following school year.Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, for public charter schools intending to open in the school year beginning July 1, 2022, only, the primary round of public charter school student enrollment applications, lottery and enrollment shall conclude on May 15, 2022.
