(a) All new applicants for licenses issued by the Racing Commission, pursuant to section one of this article, shall be required to furnish fingerprints for examination by the criminal identification bureau of the division of public safety and the federal bureau of investigation. The fingerprints shall be furnished by all persons required to be named in the application pursuant to subsection (a) of section seven of this article and shall be accompanied by a signed authorization for the release of information by the criminal investigation bureau and the federal bureau of investigation.(b) The Racing Commission may require any applicant seeking the renewal of a license or the issuance or renewal of a permit to furnish fingerprints for examination by the criminal identification bureau of the division of public safety and the federal bureau of investigation.
