West Virginia shall be a participating state in the United States Department of Agricultures Animal Disease Traceability program. The commissioner may propose rules for legislative approval in accordance with the provisions of 29A-3-1 et seq. of this code governing the collection of farm premises and animal identification data.The premises and animal identification data collected by the commissioner in accordance with the requirements of the Animal Disease Traceability program are specifically exempt from disclosure under the provisions of 29B-1-1 et seq. of this code.
