(a) Any person who has served as a member of any branch of the United States Armed Forces, the National Guard, or armed forces reserve, may apply for licensure, if:(1) He or she has successfully completed a course of instruction required to qualify him or her for rating as an HVAC technicians mate or other equivalent rating in his or her particular branch of the armed forces;(2) He or she meets the requirements of this article;(3) He or she has been honorably discharged from service and submits, to the Commissioner of Labor, a photostatic copy of the honorable discharge;(4) He or she submits a completed application to the Commissioner of Labor; and(5) He or she pays the prescribed licensing fees.(b) A veteran who has allowed more than 30 years to pass from the date of his or her successful completion of a course of instruction and the date of application for licensure in this state may be required to attend additional training courses.
