(a) Before a licensed physician assistant may practice in collaboration with physicians, the physician assistant and a health care facility shall: (1) File a practice notification with the appropriate licensing board;(2) Pay the applicable fee; and(3) Receive written notice from the appropriate licensing board that the practice notification is complete and active.(b) The licensing boards shall promulgate emergency rules to establish the content and criteria for submission of practice notifications.(c) A physician assistant shall notify the board, in writing, within 10 days of the termination of a practice notification. Failure to provide timely notice of the termination constitutes unprofessional conduct and disciplinary proceedings may be instituted by the appropriate licensing board.
