§ 31a-2-1

The Department of Banking of West Virginia, the Office of Commissioner of Banking of West Virginia and the Office of Deputy Commissioner of Banking of West Virginia, heretofore created and existing in the state government, are continued and, after the date of the passage of the amendments to this section adopted in the regular Legislative Session of 2012, shall hereafter be referred to, respectively, as the Division of Financial Institutions, the Commissioner of Financial Institutions and the Deputy Commissioner of Financial Institutions. All references in this code to the Department of Banking or the Division of Banking shall, after the effective date of the amendments to this section adopted in the regular Legislative Session of 2012, be read, construed and understood to mean and to have reference to the Division of Financial Institutions.
