§ 39-4-22

(a) The Secretary of State shall maintain an electronic database of notaries public:(1) Through which a person may verify the authority of a notary public to perform notarial acts; and(2) Which indicates whether a notary public has notified the Secretary of State that the notary public will be performing notarial acts on electronic records.(b) Not later than thirty days after a notary public either:(1) Changes the address of his or her business or residence; or(2) Changes his or her name, the notary public shall notify the Secretary of State of the address or name change.
