(a) Following the appointment of a full or limited guardian or conservator or committee, the court with jurisdiction over the proceeding may order the transfer of jurisdiction to another circuit court in this state or to an appropriate tribunal in another state if it appears to the court that the interests of the protected person will be best served by such transfer. Transfer of jurisdiction to another state shall be in accordance with the provisions of chapter forty-four-c of this code.(b) Upon the transfer, the previously appointed guardian or conservator shall report to the county of transfer that is assuming jurisdiction. Any changes to the appointments shall be made by the court assuming jurisdiction.
