The retirement reserve fund is hereby created. It shall be the fund from which shall be paid all annuities payable as provided in this article. If a disability retirant returns to the employ of a participating public employer, his annuity reserve at that time shall be transferred from the retirement reserve fund to the members deposit fund and the employers accumulation fund in the same proportions as the annuity reserve was originally transferred to the retirement reserve fund. The amount so transferred to the members deposit fund shall be credited to his individual account therein. The retirement reserve fund is hereby created.
