84.08 Franchises. No franchise or permit granted by any town or village or city to any corporation to use any state trunk highway shall become effective unless such franchise or permit has been approved by the department. The order of the department shall provide for or approve the method by which the work authorized by the franchise or permit is to be done or by which the highway is to be restored to its former condition.History: 1977 c. 29 s. 1654 (8) (a).
