943.92 Increased penalty for multiple financial crimes. If a person is convicted of committing 3 or more financial crimes in an 18-month period, the term of imprisonment for the 3rd or subsequent crime in the 18-month period may be increased as follows:(1) A maximum term of imprisonment of one year or less may be increased to not more than 2 years.(2) A maximum term of imprisonment of more than one year but not more than 10 years may be increased by not more than 2 years if the prior convictions were for misdemeanors and by not more than 4 years if at least one of the prior convictions was for a felony.(3) A maximum term of imprisonment of more than 10 years may be increased by not more than 2 years if the prior convictions were for misdemeanors and by not more than 6 years if at least one of the prior convictions was for a felony.History: 2005 a. 212.
